Here are some frequently asked questions about auditioning with SVGMC:

How do Auditions work?
Please email or call the number below if you would like to schedule an audition. Let us know your name, email address and phone number. Bring a piece of music that you would like to sing A Capella. The director and accompanist will hear your audition and make an evaluation. You'll also be tested on sight reading music, pitch memory, vocal range, and pitch matching as well as tone. If you feel you are not a strong reader, you need not worry. Almost all of our music is previously recorded or MP3/MIDI files are created to help you. We also have section leaders that can provide a great deal of guidance.

What if I want to check out the chorus before auditioning?
Please join in one of our rehearsals to meet us and hear us rehearse, and, if you are interested, you may audition immediately following the rehearsal. Rehearsals start promptly at 7pm. Please call ahead if you are planning to do this and come a bit early so we can prepare to meet you.

Where do rehearsals take place?
Rehearsals occur every Tuesday night between 7-10pm at:
